This ‘Scape House’ is build by FORM/Kouichi Kimura Architects,it is a versatile and minimal home, located in the tiered-developed residential area on a hill in Shiga,Japan.
From the site, the beautiful scenery of the lake and the natural light during the day can be viewed. it was fully utilized by architect. Big open windows will expose indoor life to the eyes of neighborhood. So the architect opted for narrower ones, which determine the layout of the facade. But architect should also consider what scenery should be viewed by the position of the windows. they were strategically positioned to create openness and maintaining privacy in the home. space be opened but not being bothered by eyes of neighborhood.
The windows as framings produce comfortable spaces . you can enjoy light.Match with a table, a book shelf, a bench and other furniture items , you can utilize there to view outside, eat meals, read books, etc.
In addition,The space is composed of texture mortar ,the focus of presence. it provides openness which created by the continuous and clear sightline. At the same time the space is also an indispensable element that reflects visual changes of scenery and light that are developed while moving around the room.
It is a good project, please enjoy!
